Our world class marina and marine service centre is one of the most popular in New Zealand. Beautifully situated and impressively resourced, it’s the perfect gateway to the superb boating and cruising grounds of the Hauraki Gulf.
Whether you are cruising, racing, or skippering a vessel – bring your boat home to Auckland’s premier boat harbour - close to the heart and all the best adventures of the Gulf.  Easily accessed, away from the busy city waterfront, we offer superb one-stop facilities for every kind of vessel management.

Bella Vista Community Garden

The Bella Vista Community Garden is a space for all residents to enjoy.

A place where people can spend time, either by themselves enjoying the birdsong and tranquility, or with neighbours, catching up over a drink or simply shooting the breeze.

It is a place where we come together for community events and somewhere that can be enjoyed by everyone living in the beautiful Bella Vista community.

It is used to grow plants for the Bella Vista Residents Association to save on maintenance costs and also produces food for those who wish to be involved in the Bella Vista Gardening Group.

For information about the Bella Vista Gardening Group and the community garden, please contact Amy Difford on 021404130 or email [email protected].

Birds

The range of habitats present in Shakespear Park provides homes to many bird species. The absence of predators in the sanctuary has led to increasing numbers of kereru, tui and many ground nesting birds such as pukeko and pheasant. It is also benefiting other species and will allow the reintroduction of other birds which cannot tolerate any introduced predators. Already some birds from Tiritiri Matangi such as kakariki and bellbirds are finding the park a good place to live.

Gulf Harbour Coast to Coast Path
Click here for Auckland Council Path
  •  Walking time: 70 mins
  •  Walking steps: 7800 steps
  •  Distance: 6 km
Starts at 1311 Laurie Southwick Parade.
An achievable 'coast to coast' walk across the beautiful Whangaparāoa Peninsula. Start at Gulf Harbour Marina. Check out the impressive boats and views towards Auckland city and Rangitoto Island. Car parking is available here.
Follow the path around the Marina, cross Laurie Southwick Parade and head north along the footpath. Turn left into Gulf Harbour Drive, pass Gulf Harbour Recreation Reserve and the playground (partly shaded by shade sails) for the kids to let off some steam.  Cross Gulf Harbour Drive on  the pedestrian crossing opposite Wentworth College and continue until you reach Regency Park Drive.
Stroll along Regency Park Drive past the water - you might spot some locals racing model boats. Keep an eye out for ducks, black swans and pūkeko.
You'll reach a small reserve and a second colourful kids playground with two slides. Continue on the path through the reserve, crossing at Whangaparāoa Road to reach Fishermans Rock Reserve.
Follow the steep boat ramp down to the picturesque bay. You can see out to Kawau Island and the Mahurangi Peninsula. At low tide, you can explore the cave and see how far you can walk around the cliffs. Public toilets are available along the route.
